punctiferalis is a group of cyptic species, with at least 6 different taxa involved in HK and probably a lot more elsewhere.
The 1982 report in Lee & Winney (AFD list of agriculturally important species) gives Pinus as the host, which is likely to relate to the recently described Conogethes pinicolalis Inoue & Yamanaka, 2006.
