最近帶學生考察, 在竹叢中找到不少竹蜂的洞, 但不敢捉出來, 沒有相.
想問竹蜂 是 黑翅木蜂嗎?
若是, 有其他蜂種在竹枝上造洞嗎?
請教!

Bamboo Carpenter Bee

According to the website below
http://vespa-bicolor.net/main/solitary-bees/xylocopa.htm (read on 21/11/2015), there are two carpenter bamboo bee suggested in Hong Kong South China region. They are
Xylocopa iridipennis or related (HK, South China)
Xylocopa dejeanii (HK, much of China and other parts of East and Southeast Asia)

There are indeed two bamboo carpenter bees in HK which are Xylocopa tranquebarorum and X. nasalis.
X. irridipenis does not occur in HK and X. dejeani is not a bamboo carpenter bee but a normal xylophilous Xylocopa using dead wood for nesting sites
