This species is a bit of a puzzle. There is at least one other HK record from possibly 3 years ago now, and a photo (unidentified) on the Moths of Japan website. Omiodes is a "dustbin" genus, i.e. if the describer is being lazy and not doing avery good job of actually describing a species properly, then a spilomeline crambid with roughly this body form and wing pattern ends up being placed in Omiodes. A thorough revision is required. (would make a good post-grad study for someone!)

getting closer to a name for this one....
now with a likely genus and species group: Dichocrocis sp. nr. erixantha (Meyrick, 1886)
