盲蛛 harvestmen belongs to the order of Opiliones. There are two main suborder, Palpatores have very round little bodies and long thin legs while the suborder Laniatores are shorter legged and have heavily armoured palps, more typical of the tropics than the previous one.

Thanks for the info. I assume then that except for the one in my photos, the others here are all Palpatores?

Pseudoscorpion pincers that resemble those of scorpions and the abdomen is made up of twelve segments. I think bicolor's photo shows clearly that the pedipalps or pincers are different from the typical scorpion and the abdomen is less than 10 segments.

The sub-order Laniatores is much alike to yours monster photo.
