At light, 25th March 2007: San Tsuen, Lam Tsuen.

Crocidolomia pavonana (Fabr., 1794)

Crambidae, Evergestinae

This species Old World tropical species is a pest on Brassicaceae. I recorded it only occasionally at KARC, but it is common in Lam Tsuen Valley, seen almost every time I run the light trap.

follow-up taxonomic note:

Evergestinae was synonymised with Glaphyriinae by Regier et al (2012)
