On 12 Aug 2012, 6 larvae were collected at +22° 16' 53.44", +114° 12' 38.10", on host plant Desmodium heterocarpon (假地豆).
the larvae sheltered themselves by binding multiple leaves together by silk and hiding out within their own faeces clumps inside the leaves.
On 22-23 Aug, 4 pupae were found sealed inside a tight, hardened cocoon of silk, with a dense layer of caterpillar faeces clumped all over the outer surface. Each pupa measured ~9mm.
On 26 Aug, the first adult eclosed, wingspan measuring 23~24mm. The next three adults eclosed over the next two days.
12 Aug: larva, 13mm, feeding on Desmodium heterocarpon (假地豆)
20 Aug: larva, a later instar, 18mm. the black stripes were more obvious
22 Aug: pupa, ~9mm long
22 Aug: tip of the pupa case still enclosed inside silk cocoon inside faeces clump (it was a job breaking out the pupa without damaging the case; even stripping off all the soft faeces outside, the silk cocoon was rather hard in texture of itself)
26 Aug: first adult eclosed, wingspan ~23-24mm
