有冇其他角度的照片 ?

尾鰭好長，
胸鰭、背鰭和尾鰭有滿佈啡、白點，
頭頂、體背和體側上下分佈約十個深色大斑。

這魚外型與"矛尾鰕虎魚"一樣(但找不到這魚的照片作比較)。
( "矛尾鰕虎魚"只分佈 黃海、中國東海及南海一帶)

Very interesting... I suspect that this maybe a new kind of Luciogobius... (竿蝦虎) from this sight...    But this would be a mega-luciogobius!

This is unlikely to be Synechogobius hasta (矛尾蝦虎) not only from the locality, but also the coloration, the head shape and the apparent "soft" body. Indeed S. hasta is a well studied food fish.

我指的是在"漁網"找到的"矛尾鰕虎魚"；但我用錯字眼～不應該用(一樣)，應該是用(最似是)"矛尾鰕虎魚"。
我相片中鰕虎魚的頭部與Chaeturichthys stigmatias 是不同型狀的。

佢頭部個口的位置好明顯與"長身擬平牙鰕虎魚"有分別，

佢體側Ｄ條紋又有分別。

我以為好易就找到，駛乜出咁多相，
點知條鰕虎魚正成咁，揾極都無條啱咩。

Judging from photos could never be absolutely accurate, therefore the high similarity with Pseudapocryptes elongates is suggestive.

The matched size of the fish is indeed an important indicator as not many gobies are so large.

Coloration and body markings in gobies are highly variable and therefore should have less bearing in idenfication.

魚的體色體紋可以有很大同種差異(除非是較易辨認的珊瑚魚),
所以如果體紋不是完全不同的話, 很難判斷是否不同種。
不過同種口部形態卻極少不相同。
所以如果口部不同的話, 便很大機會不是同種。
獵隼的照片中, 魚的口部呈斜裂狀,
而網上只找到fishbase一張手繪圖, 見到口是平裂,
不過該圖略嫌簡陋粗疏, 不夠精緻,
而且手繪圖都是依照死去的標本繪製,
不知在過程中, 如雪藏, 令魚的形態有點變型,
所該手繪圖不知是否可靠。

不如再從其他角度, 及生態環境中找尋線索。
如果是Pseudapocryptes elongates 長身擬平牙鰕虎魚,
便即是鰕虎科中的背眼蝦虎魚亞科(Oxudercinae),
亦即是一種彈塗魚。
彈塗魚其中的形態特點:
眼背位，靠近，突出。
胸鰭基底發達成臂狀，在陸上充當行動器官。

照片中的魚眼背位，靠近，突出，具背眼蝦虎魚亞科, 即彈塗魚特徵,
唯胸鰭基底似乎不如常見彈塗魚般發達成臂狀。
不過Pseudapocryptes elongates 學名意思亦表明:
“'Pseudapocryptes' comes from the Greek 'pseudo' (false), and 'Apocryptes' which refers to the similarity to the other oxudercine genus”。
即可能表示此魚是一種『擬背眼蝦虎魚』, 所以不一定有整典型彈塗魚特徵。

另外Pseudapocryptes elongates的生境
“adults locally abundant on lower mudflats and in the deeper creeks; young and subadults abundant within the creek and inlet systems of mangrove forests ”
不知拍照附近有沒有泥灘或紅樹林的生境?
如有, 那牠是Pseudapocryptes elongates的機會又大啲
如沒有, 是Pseudapocryptes elongates的機會又細啲。

特別一提, Pseudapocryptes elongates尾鰭也是矛狀的,
不知照片中的魚是否矛尾 ?

相信除非再次發現這鰕虎魚，取得更多的資料，否則都很難再找答案。

The record of this large goby in Hong Kong (and therefore South China) would be worthy of making known to the scientific community. I suggest that 獵隼/SimFish may consider doing more work on it and publish the finding in some magazine / journal.

Just reviewed some other info and I think another possibility is Parapocryptes serperaster 蜥型副平牙虾虎

points:
1. size
2. reported from S. China (indeed the type was from Macau)
3. Similar marking and coloration

佢另有一個名叫 大鱗副平牙鰕虎魚，鱗真是大Ｄ？
我將其中一相片放大，看來感覺又不像很大。你的意見又如何？
(我圖片的魚是在礫石的環境發現，所以色澤是比較深。)

Yes, the scales should be "comparatively" large with respect to similar genera / species. However, it is difficult to judge from your photo of living specimen. In living specimen, there is a thick mucus coating over the scale/skin which will hide the actual contour of the scales.

The "big scale" name should come from the meristic character "longitudinal scale count" of 62-81 vis-a-via the 81-94 of the P. rictuosus (less l.s.c. = bigger scale)

另外對於上面條神秘鰕亮，

原來此魚並非我們上面討論的幾種背眼鰕虎魚(即又長身, 又大鱗, 又咩的鰕虎魚)
反而有可能係絲頭鰕虎屬Cryptocentrus sp，
因此魚不是香港三種絲頭鰕虎
如果係其他絲頭鰕虎 or莫氏絲鰕虎魚Cryptocentrus maudae，都係香港新紀錄。
