OK, size apart, I agree that the coloration and pattern matched C. maudae very closely. Let's try to look into the genus Cryptocentrus a bit more.
I reviewed info from FishBase. Since C. maudae can closely resemble 2 other species namely C. leucostictus and C. albidorsus, the possibility should at least be open until a specimen is examined and measured.
I also checked that C. maude probably has not been reported in China. From the principle of judging from the common to the rare, we should not abandon the possibility of C. albidorsus (reported from Taiwan). Although the coloration is not matching, from the info of FishBase.
Note that the whole genus Cryptocentrus seems do not have any reported size of more than around 10cm-14cm, this large fish if belongs to Cryptocentrus may well worth more study.
I would be bewildered if such a large shrimp goby is seen associating with a shrimp in HK water...
