I went to Lung Mei yesterday and hoping to find the tiny fishes again in a sweating hot windless afternoon, time went by and I found nothing, as the tide was about to rise and I was ready to give up and leave, then THERE THEY WERE! Male and female in the exact spot one year ago! Seeing them again is a all mix of happiness and sadness, very much!
Since the female is far more smaller in size so makes it a pretty hard one to have a clear shoot, not like the almost double sized brillant colored male.

日本人古田土裕子報導於1999年9月27日在香港"小棕林"拍到相似的魚. 在日本魚類照片資料庫中鑑定為 Myersina lachneri Hoese et Lubbock, 1982.

不過亦可能是 M. macrostoma

我之前在ID此魚時,己查過有關文獻及所有有關Myersina sp.的網頁,
包括日本的魚類資料庫。也比較過了很相似的Myersina lancheri.當中資料較詳細文獻的是 “A Review of the Genus Myersina(Pisces:Gobiidae), with the Description of a New Species”
當中比較了Myersina sp.的分別。
Myersina macrostoma的一個特徵是: “First dorsal fin with an elongate black mark covering membrane between first two dorsal spines fron just above base, fading dorsally. Second dorsal fin with four rows of faint blackish spot around middle od sixth dorsal spine.”
而Myersina lancheri 並沒有這些特徵。所以其實也不難分辨兩魚。
根據文獻描述, 龍尾發現的應該就是Myersina macrostoma。
(除非是從未被發現過的新種)

而日本的魚資料庫圖庫亦有此兩魚的照片, 可比較一下, 是不同的:

我基本上同意, 不過要注意很多分類學文章只描述液浸標本的顏色斑紋, 而且有沒有查過雌性的分別? 我看 M. lachneri 的第一背鰭前緣多為黑色而無兩斑, 野外鑑定可以留意.

那麼日本奄美大島的 (http://amami-gobies.amamiensis.c ... amacrostomalog.html) 應該是 M. lachneri 而不是該網頁的鑑定 - M. macrostoma.

日本人於1999及2000年在香港"小棕林"及"海下灣"拍的應該是 M. lachneri, 板友可以去看看拍不拍到.

奇怪, 日本魚類檢索未有包括 M. lachneri, 台灣誌就只有 M. macrostoma, 中國鰕虎誌就連兩種都沒有!

同意, M. lachneri 的第一背鰭前緣多為黑色而無兩斑。
Myersina sp. 一般都以洞穴為棲, 在安全情況下才在洞外活動,
所以很少被人拍下野外照片。
友人也有在海下拍照到M. macrostoma.
鰕虎魚的分類及辨認都比較複雜,
就算GOBY專家都未必識得哂。
所以要確認一條少見的GOBY,通常都要參考多個SOURCES。
你REFER的ink都看不到。
