Snowy owls shot and killed at JFK airport
2 owls were killed after the Port Authority ordered airport workers to shoot the birds out of concern that the creatures would fly into planes.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey recently ordered workers at JFK International Airport to shoot and kill snowy owls spotted there, according to NBC 4 New York.
